Bill O'Reilly on The American Dream Show...

This past weekend brought the fall air to the Hamptons and The American Dream Show brought Bill O'Reilly to Gurney's Inn in Montauk. Gurney's Inn is a resort that is located along the Atlantic Ocean in Montauk and is known world wide. The inn has three restaurants, The Sea Grille, Caffe Monte and La Pasticceria. There is a spa that is the only true Thalasso Spa in the United States. They also have a salon where you can get your manicure, pedicure or hair done with an ocean view. They also have a fitness center and indoor heated sea water pool. There are 109 rooms and five beautiful cottages all with an oceanview. This is a true resort that many people go to because there is everything in one place and it is located in a magical place called Montauk.

Here's one of the creative, scrumptious desserts we ate in the Caffe Monte at Gurney's

If you have never been to Gurney's Inn, you have never really encountered hospitality at its finest. The staff never disappoints from the valet service to room service, you are always treated like a V.I.P. It's no wonder that the American Dream Show picked Gurney's Inn to film their shows there.

This is one of the many oceanfront views taken at the Skipper's Cottage at Gurney's Inn.

The American Dream Show is a show that talks about family heritage, goals and dreams, basically where you came from and where you are now and what you have accomplished. The show is filmed live and there is an audience section that you can sit in and watch the live taping. The show is hosted by Ingrid Lemme who is also the founder of American Dream Town and Chairperson of Seven Stars and Stripes. The show is aired in prime time to over 5 million households throughout the tristate area including New York, New Jersey and Westchester on Hamptons TV. You can also watch the show world wide by logging onto http://www.hamptonstv.com/.

I have known Ingrid for many, many years and from the first time I met her until now, she has always been so vivacious and charming and she truly has an interest in all types of cultures and backgrounds. You can tell in her interviews that she really enjoys hosting the show and she loves the diversity of her guests. To see other interviews, you can log onto http://www.americandreamshow.com/

This past Saturday she had the opportunity to interview TV journalist Bill O'Reilly, who hosts The O'Reilly Factor on FOX News Channel. His show is a combination of investigative reporting and news analysis. Not only does he host the show but he also has a weekly column that he writes for more than 300 newspapers. He has authored many books and his latest is a personal memoir titled "A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity". He has 3 emmys under his belt and you can check out his website http://www.billoreilly.com/ because he donates to charity through the sales of his website.

I am posting a link here where you can watch the show before it even airs throughout the tristate area. It's an entertaining interview between both Bill O'Reilly and Ingrid Lemme. You'll enjoy hearing about Bill growing up in Levittown, Long Island and you'll laugh at his "alarm" story. He talks about interviews with Presidents and about his time when he was a journalist on location and the time he could have gotten shot. The great thing about Bill is that he is straight forward and not afraid to throw it out there and make people speak their truth. Ingrid has had the pleasure of interviewing many famous people though she still would really like to interview Hillary Clinton and Paul McCartney. Here is the link for the show:

The American Dream Show, Gurney's Inn and Ingrid Lemme are what I call the Triple Crown of fun, entertainment and hospitality. If you know someone you think should be on the show, and Hillary and Paul I am talking directly to you, please let me know so I can put you in touch with Ingrid Lemme for consideration. If you'd like to stay at Gurney's Inn or try one of their services in the spa or salon, you can log onto http://www.gurneysinn.com/ or call 631.668.2345.

Hillary Flowers...

Wow, fashion week in New York City has been quite a whirlwind and has finally settled down. So many designers with all of their creations and I have one more I want to present. Hillary Flowers. Hillary Flowers is a charming and vivacious designer who is one of the most sweetest and kindest people I ever met. She is one of those people that good things happen to because she definitely deserves it. She has a boutique that is located at 40 Clinton Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Her boutique allows emerging designers to test the retail market by directly selling their clothing, jewelry and accessories for both men and women. If you have not been to her shop yet, you must check it out because she currently has about 20 designers who are selling their designs. Of course you can also buy Hillary's designs exclusively at her shop. You'll find one of a kind jewelry and clothing that is contemporary glam and reconstructed vintage.
Hillary had two runway shows this season. The first was at Tavern on the Green and here are some pics from that show.

Here is the beautiful Hillary Flowers with a friend at the fashion show. Her second runway show was held at the Bryant Park Hotel and here are some shots from that show.

Hillary is no stranger when it comes to putting together fashion shows and events. She has put together over 25 original fashion shows for an array of clients and has been featured in many magazines. She is also a singer and songwriter and has more than 50 original songs under her belt. She is definitely a woman of many talents and is always evolving.

Both of her runway shows were very successful and we can't wait to see what she designs next. These are just some of her designs so make sure to check out her shop to pick up something for yourself. Thanks to NandoVision for the photos. You can find out more about Hillary at her website at http://www.hillaryflowers.com/.

Aysha Saeed Fall 2009 Collection...

Fashion Week is all the buzz in New York City and there were and are many shows taking place. One great show took place last Saturday, September 12th at the Cielo Club. Aysha Saeed presented her Fall 2009 collection which is glamorous and sophisticated with a modern edge.

Not only is she beautiful but she is an emerging designer who has celebrities like Hayden Panettiere and Mary J. Blige wearing her designs. She has been featured on Good Morning America and Regis and Kelly. You also might have seen her in Women's Wear Daily, In-Style, Elle and Vogue.

Guests that attended on Saturday got to shop and also be part of a fun, interactive photo shoot where they got to model their favorite Aysha Saeed dresses.

Aysha Saeed with some happy shoppers.

Everyone loves a sale!

Guests find dresses they love!

Everyone was finding what they liked and having a great time. This pop up shop was great but it was for only one day. You can find Aysha Saeed's collections at the most influential specialty boutiques nationwide, in case you didn't get a chance to check this out yourself.

Now every lady knows that shopping can work up an appetite so it was good that Tawny Ong was on hand to add her delicious flavor to the show.

Desserts by Tawny Ong presented mini Red Velvet cakes that are airy and are combined with a yummy cream cheese icing. These are SO delicious! Tawny is pictured here with a tray of fluffy Banana Puddin' cups that are so creamy, you can't just have one. But my favorite is the Ice Box Cake that has layers of chocolate with vanilla whipped cream. It kind of reminds me of a cookies and cream flavor but it's not heavy. Guests enjoyed these tasty treats along with champagne cocktails.

There were also beauty giveaways and music was provided by DJ Luna. Everyone had a great time and it was a fun filled experience.

These girls were jumping for joy due to all the fun they were having. Special thanks to Steven B. Ekerovich of SBE Photography for the photos and to Sabrina Chapman of Simply Chic PR.
I hope everyone has had as much fun at the shows they're attending during this amazing week of fashion, fun and festivities!

Hauteaholics' Runway Soiree...

This past Monday night I attended the Hauteaholic's Runway Soiree which was held at La Pomme on 26th Street in New York City. This event was presented by mark., a division of Avon, and a portion of all ticket sales went to benefit the New York Women's Foundation. It was hosted by Kristen Schaal who you might recognize from HBO's "Flight of the Conchords" and Comedy Central's "The Daily Show". The designers that were showcased were Kara Janx, Erna Leon, Hunter Dixon and Kathy Misick.

Upon arriving at the event, there was a line already formed to get in. People were passing by asking what was the event for and that added to the excitement. I was glad that I decided to go after traveling all the way from the Hamptons. This was going to be a good event, I could feel it. We waited in line and then it was our turn to go in. The gentleman with the list was trying to find my name and I was getting worried but just then Justine McCarthy came out and said hi to me and told the men,"They're with me. They're VIP. Give them a red chip." The men apologized and I said,"No problem" and just smiled because it really wasn't. They were actually very nice and were frantically trying to find my name. It has to be a little hard doing their job because I'm sure they want to believe everyone so I was glad Justine came out when she did because I really was invited to the show! I couldn't figure out what the red chip was for but found out that it was for at the end of the show. When you leave to get your gift bag, you give them the red chip so they know to give you a VIP gift bag.

We stopped to have our picture taken on the Red Carpet and the photographers were very friendly.

We proceeded inside to join the cocktail party which featured Hautinis. Hautinis consist of vodka, Malibu coconut rum, lime juice syrup, 6 ice cubes and a slice of lime. Yum! The music was already pumping adding to the excitement of the party and of course, DJ Claudius Raphael was at the helm!

DJ Claudius Raphael

DJ Claudius Raphael is one of New York City's hottest DJ's and has been requested to spin at many of the shows during fashion week. I'm glad he was at this event because he knows exactly what to play and exactly at the right time to go with the mood and the atmosphere.

The crowd was filling in and we decided to make our way to the boutique upstairs and check out the Designers' collections. Guests were welcome to shop and they would receive special event only discounts on their purchases during the evening.

After a short while, everyone took their seats to get ready for the big show. We settled down in our seats in the front row with other members from the press. Once everyone got seated, the show started off with a special performance by Farrad and his dancers.

Farrad's music was great and the dancers were entertaining. The crowd definitely enjoyed it! Keep your eye on this guy because I'm sure you'll be seeing lots of him!

After a moving performance, Kristen Schaal, the host for the show, took the stage. She was funny and entertaining.

She shared a fun story about Kate Moss.

And did her rendition of the catwalk. She was funny and the crowd loved her!

She had the crowd laughing and I know that the girls could especially relate. Then it was time for the designers to have their creations unveiled. The first designer that was presented was Kathy Misick who's designs have been worn by Tyra Banks and has been featured in international style and culture manual magazines. Here are some of her designs.

The next designer was Hunter Dickson which was cofounded by Hunter Lingle, designer, and Jennifer Dixon, business development. This is a contemporary line that has been featured in ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, IN STYLE, Lucky Magazine and Fox News. Some well known celebrities that have been seen in this line are Sophia Bush, Lindsay Lohan, supermodel Marisa Miller, VH1's Janell Snowden and the Today's Show Natalie Morales to name a few. Here are some the designs.

Next to show is designer Kara Janx who was a finalist on Project Runway's Season 2. Her collection is fresh, fun and extremely wearable. Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Debra Messing, Rhianna, Sarah Jessica Parker and many other fashionable ladies are clients and fans of her work. Her collection has also appeared in Elle, In Style, Harper's Bazaar, Lucky Magazine, Vogue and WWD. Take a look at some of her designs.

And last but certainly not least was designer, Erna Leon, who was awarded the "Best in Class: Luxury Denim" award in July of 2008 at Supima's inaugural Design Contest for Emerging Talent. In May 2009 she opened her own boutique within the Edge NY store located on Bleecker Street. These are some of her designs.

At the end all of the designers were invited to come out on the stage. Everyone was applauding and the designers were very happy at the shows success.

Everyone did their part for this amazing show. The primary sponsor was mark. and the product sponsors were Ardell, China Glaze and Clubman. The key makep artist was Anthea King for mark. and other makeup artists included Lisa Aharon, Stephanie Flor, Simone Segall, Kelly Tabone and Veronica Chu. Key Hair Stylist was Anton David with Brittani Bixler. Jewelry by Mona Assemi. Models were Doreen Awiti, Perizot Begimbaeva, Hannah Brewer, Leo Dee Dawson, Maguire Fitzpatrick, Eyerusalem Girma, Angela Hubbs, Olga Kavardakova, Dina Kotorova, Saglara Lidzheeva, Monika Lorenc, Sui Nakashima, Sandra Nyanchoka, Amy Poole, Carolina Ramirez, Alina Rock and Brianna Seagraves. Special thanks also to DJ Claudius Raphael, Musical Guest, Farrad and Catering by Cafe Metro.

Major thank you to Sari Schwartz and Eva Shure, Co-Founders of Hauteaholics Anonymous and Justine McCarthy of Simply Chic PR. This was one of the best shows I attended during fashion week and I loved all of the designs. They all had their own individual style so it was hard to say which one was my favorite.

We got our VIP gift bags at the end of the night which held a bunch of goodies in a huge gold bag that held everything courtesy of mark. that had a bunch of their cosmetics and a nice surprise was the CD of Farrad, which is a must buy! As you can see, we had big smiles on our faces because we had such a great time!!
