Dress for a Cause at Catherine Malandrino's

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the "Dress for a Cause at Catherine Malandrino's" event in East Hampton at her boutique on Newtown Lane. This event benefited CANCER 101 which was started by Executive Director Monica Knoll who had breast cancer at age 36 and is a survivor. This company empowers patients and those who care for them by giving them ten year planners and other organizational tools. The planners are great because they encourage hope for those with cancer while they are receiving treatment or are in remission. For anyone who shopped at Catherine Malandrino's this past Saturday, you'll be happy to know that 15% of sales that day went to CANCER 101.

As if that wasn't a good enough reason alone, meeting USA Network's "Royal Pains" Co-Star Reshma Shetty was another! Reshma was on hand to support these efforts as the celebrity host and was in good company with special guest, Sally Shan, Nightlife Heiress. These ladies were as nice as they were beautiful and were having a great time! Here is a pic of Sally Shan on the left and Reshma Shetty on the right.

Voga Sparkling Wine and Evian mini bottles were enjoyed by everyone. DJ Claudius Raphael kept the vibe alive by spinning beats that kept everyone dancing and moving. The audio equipment was provided by IAN-Audio, which is a full service live sound rental and production company owned by Ash Krikorian. Pictured below is DJ Claudius Raphael on the left and Ash Krikorian on the right.

Among some of the guests who showed up to support this cause were two of my good friends, Darrell M. Smith of HBO's "The Wire" and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of Bravo TV's "The Real Housewives of New York City". Other guests included Orlando Bloom and Susan Shin.

Gift bags were supplied courtesy of Catherine Malandrino and included goodies from The Elegant Setting of Southampton, Matt Izzo and Gurney's Inn. The event was hosted by Fashion Week Daily and Hamptons Undercover and was produced by Simply Chic Public Relations, LLC. Co-owners of Simply Chic Public Relations, LLC, Sabrina Chapman and Justine McCarthy were in attendance. Below is a pic of (left to right): Sabrina Chapman, Sally Shan, Justine McCarthy.

The event was a huge success and it was nice to see so many people come out to support the cause.

When traveling around the Hamptons or NYC, you want to be on time and not worry about driving. Call East End Limousines at 866-410-6600 and just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
